Starting on Night shift on your first week, then finishing early on your last day shift ensures you're home before the end of a usual day shift. Job Description:
• Attend to breakdowns of light vehicles underground
• Servicing and maintenance of Light Vehicles
• Component change outs and other duties as required
What skills and experience do you need?
To be successful for this position you will need to be a hands-on, proactive individual with significant experience carrying out workshop and underground repairs / maintenance on a range of mining industry related Light Vehicles. Experience with the maintenance and repair of Diesel 4x4 vehicles, in particular Common Rail engines is essential. Additional experience in heavy earthmoving equipment and/or a qualification in Diesel Fitting will be an advantage.
As well as maintaining responsibility for ensuring that company policies and procedures are adhered to, the successful candidate will also possess:
• A Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Qualification
• Experience working on Diesel 4x4 vehicles
• Knowledge of other Underground Mining Mobile Plant will be highly regarded
• Neat and organised approach to work procedures
• Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills
• Willingness to assist with a variety of work tasks
• The ability to identify and address hazards in the workplace
