To be successful in this role, you will have considerable experience in brown field instrumentation and metering, coupled with a strong work ethic and high professional values. Within your resume, you will be able to demonstrate your credentials in the following essential areas; • Bachelor of Engineering (Instrumentation) or equivalent relevant qualification. Non-degreed qualifications will be considered if supported by substantial experience and ability. • Characteristics and competencies that demonstrate behavioural compliance with the company’s values • Strong understanding of measurement and instrumentation fundamentals • Practical knowledge of application and operation of instrumentation found in oil and gas processing facilities including smart transmitters, analysers, flow meters, fire and gas instruments, vibration transducer etc. • Technical analysis and fault finding experience • Knowledge of technical incident investigations, root cause analysis and latent cause analysis • Knowledge of metering codes and standards • Knowledge of functional safety systems codes and standards • Knowledge of EEHA codes and standards as well as a working knowledge of AS3000 • Good communication skills, both verbal and written • Self motivated and adaptable • Ability to work in a team environment • Planning and small project management • Proficient in use of computer and office software Your experience will further demonstrate the following; • Ten years minimum industry experience in instrumentation either within an operating organisation or engineering contractor in the execution of Brown Field instrument projects • Experience in design and troubleshooting of fiscal metering, including on-line analysers, for hydrocarbon processes would be well regarded. • Detailed knowledge of field instrumentation including design characteristics, limitations, calibration and maintenance. Equipment includes smart transmitters, analysers, flow meters (non fiscal), valves, fire and gas instruments, vibration transducers etc. • Experience in implementation of upgrade projects with specific exposure to change control procedures. • Experience in working with database systems for managing instrumentation installation hookup is desirable. In your resume you will be able to demonstrate the following track record of success in these areas; • Minimum 8-10 years industry experience in process control and instrumentation either within an operating organisation, engineering contractor or vendor, with specific exposure to commissioning of new or upgraded plant. • 2 years experience as a lead engineer/supervisor is desirable • Experience in design and troubleshooting of control schemes for basic hydrocarbon processes, preferably including fractionation trains, is required. • Familiarity with surge control is required. Experience with CCC controls systems would be desirable. • Knowledge of field instrumentation including design characteristics and limitations, calibration and maintenance.
