If you’re an Automotive/Mechanical Engineer with a background in Fuels, this role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Global Fuels Technology business and utilise your specialist expertise to support local marketing teams in Australia and New Zealand.
With an ability to translate and convey technical information, you’ll work in partnership with our Marketing teams to provide fuels technical support across a diverse range of activities including new product rollout, claims development and advertising substantiation. Leading the introduction of innovative technology to our market, you’ll develop a local OEM strategy and support marketing programs through education and competitor analysis.
Expertise in engine/vehicle technology (fuel related) and oil and gas industries is key. Because of the cross-functional nature of this role, communication and people skills are paramount, liaising with local and international teams across technology, research and marketing disciplines. A BS Engineering Degree (preferably Mechanical or Automotive), with an emphasis in engine technology (heavy duty a plus), is essential. Experience in a Sales or Marketing environment would also be advantageous.

The key purpose of this job is to assist in the development, delivery and review of IT training. Additionally to collaborate with the Major Systems Training Coordinator and within the broader IT Delivery team to assist in the progressive development of training packages that meet MMG requirements. IT Training is delivered at a number of geographically dispersed remote mining sites across Australia and overseas as well as to corporate offices.
Reporting to the Major Systems Training Coordinator and based at our Group Office in Southbank, Melbourne, the key challenges you will face in this role will be balancing competing training priorities and delivering effective training solutions to remote geographic sites.
The scope of the role will include:
Delivery of IT training with particular emphasis on the SAP PM and MM modules
Assisting MMG's vision for growth by ensuring major systems are used effectively and efficiently
Developing IT Delivery training methodologies with the Major Systems Training Coordinator
Planning, scheduling and conducting onsite training sessions
Developing training related material
We require you to be an experienced IT Trainer / Assessor with a strong background in SAP. In considering your application, we will look for demonstrated experience delivering IT training, including SAP related training and also developing training material. The ability to build relationships and relate to a diverse group of stakeholders will be critical in your success in this role. A TAE or TAA Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is essential and tertiary qualifications that will support your application are desirable. Domestic and international travel will form a key part of this role. It is essential that you are able to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
